Tirupathi Karthik


Based in Asia for over 22 years, Karthik brings extensive general management, sales and marketing experience to Napier Healthcare, particularly in enterprise software solutions. Prior to joining Napier, he worked with MphasiS, a HP company as Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific & Japan including India. His other successful stints include managing regional operations in leadership roles with companies such as SAP, Covisint (GM, Ford & DCX joint venture), Clarkston Potomac and FreeMarkets. As an entrepreneur, he was the founding CEO of Nihongo Bashi, an investee company of Economic Development Board, Singapore. Karthik is a winner of the 2007 ‘Spirit of Enterprise Award', given to honour self-reliant entrepreneurs, starting and operating small and medium-sized businesses in Singapore.

Sahel Mattar

Vice-President, Consulting & Services

Sahel heads Consulting and Services, as well as the Global Support unit at Napier Healthcare. He sees customers through every stage (before, during and after implementation) of their projects, ensuring their systems meet requirements and deliver value from day one and continue to do so with continual enhancements. With more than 20 years of Asia Pacific experience in the Information Technology Industry, Sahel has held leadership roles in Operations, Consulting, Business Development, Sales Management and Services Delivery with globally recognized technology companies, including SAP Asia, Cap Gemini, Ariba, Sun Microsystems, Misys and HCL AXON.

Sahel has a wealth of implementation experience, particularly in SAP Industry Solution for Health (SAP IS-H), having implemented Healthcare Information Technology solutions across Singapore's public and private hospitals. He holds a Master of Science in Business Systems Analysis and Design from The City University in United Kingdom.

Jack Risenhoover

Vice-President, Sales, America

Jack heads Napier's business in the Americas and is an accomplished technopreneur with a track record of successfully building businesses. As a co-founder of a specialist Healthcare investment firm he was not only instrumental in backing entrepreneurs and their ideas but helping them succeed as well. As an executive team member and general counsel he led an IPO and multiple acquisitions of public and private companies and later he rose to become the President of Eclipsys in Mid-America. One of his accomplishments was the introduction of robotic chemotherapy to hospital pharmacies in North America.

Jack is a member of the California Bar Association where he earned his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University. He holds an MBA in Business Administration from University of Oklahoma and a degree in Management from Pepperdine University.

Umashankar Jayakumar

Vice-President, Finance

Umashankar has served in multiple leadership roles for over 20 years with extensive knowledge of International business finance. In his previous role, he headed APJ consulting & services finance operations. He contributed to an acquisition and formation of a joint venture with a 50% stake in the business. He has wealth of experience in the healthcare sector and brings the financial rigour and discipline needed during the explosive growth phase of Napier’s business.

Umashankar is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary.

Ramesh Thyagarajan

Vice President, Strategy & PMO

Ramesh has a wealth of experience in technical, strategy and leadership roles. He has worked with global clients on strategy formulation, strategy execution, business case development, commercial due diligence, benchmarking, competitive intelligence, performance management, organization design mergers and acquisition. In his earlier role as a strategy consultant, he helped clients solve a wide variety of business issues and identify profitable opportunities. His team focuses on generating opportunities for customers to achieve revenue growth whilst implementing Napier’s solutions.

Ramesh is responsible for Napier’s overall corporate strategy as well as entry strategy into new growth markets.

Ramesh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering (gold medal) from Osmania University, a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA in Strategic Management and Finance from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
